Belle had her first boat ride today. I think Blake was more scared then Belle. He was wondering if the boat started to sink how she would swim to shore? or if her car seat would float? I tried to reassure him that I could have a life jacket on and float on my back with her on my chest and Canton Lake is not that big. We'd be okay! Good news!! The boat didn't die or sink and we didn't have to swim! She loved it! We had her between the seat and the dashboard. It's in the middle of the boat so it's not so bumpy. She stayed in her car seat. Papa was talking and making faces at her so she loved it. Blake was able to tub and I was able to swim. It was a gorgeous evening no one was on the lake. We are getting in all the nice days we can before it gets cold.
Belle is being watch by grandparents while Blake and I am at work. Tuesday Nana and Papa had her. My dad loves to take pictures of her. He does a "butterfly"- (he'll take his hand and move his figures like a octopus toward her face. Then will go over her face to make her laugh.) She loves it! We are so thankful that Grandma and Grandpa Parker and Nana and Papa are available and will to watch her for us. We have to twist their arms and force her on them but they'll eventually give in! LOL
My Papa Chuck came up from Little Rock, Arkansas to see Belle for the first time. This morning Taylor, Papa, Belle, and myself all went out for breakfast at Jim's in Bartonville. It was good food. The best part was a little after we got there Belle started crying. It was early for her and she was wanting to be asleep. Taylor was so embarrassed. He put his hoody on and was like "Kendra make her stop! It's embarrassing!!" She is normally always good in public. I think she wanted to pay Taylor back for all the times he embarrassed my Papa! We then afterwards went and hung out at my parents. My Papa has to be piddling so he pulled my parents flower/weed bed while Belle and I enjoyed the beautiful day. I unfortunately had to work tonight so we didn't spend all day together. He will be here tomorrow and then have to leave Wednesday morning early. We are all going out tomorrow for my birthday. I am going to enjoy our time together. I don't get to see him vary much now. With my Nana passing and me know having my own family we can't get together as much. I'm cherishing this time we do have. Family is important to me and he has always been a big part of my life.
Everyone knows that Belle came out holding her head up. We have been doing tummy time with her to help strengthen her neck muscles. The other day I remembered we got a Bumbo. So I pulled it out. She still has some work to do but over all she's hilarious to watch in it. We put her up on the coffee table (with our supervision) in the Bumbo. Who needs TV when you can just watch her explore this new seat. She loves to sit up! She's getting so big to fast.
