Christ Orchard

The first day of Fall was just a few days ago so we thought what better way to ring in the great weather and new season then to go pick apples. There is an orchard really close to us that I have never been too. They have just about everything. They're a family owned and operated orchard that has apples, pumpkins, turnips and even peaches in the summer. I love picking apples! What is more funny then going out and getting a fresh apple right off the tree. Unfortunately we were a day early for pumpkin picking. Go figure! We did walk around the pumpkin patch and see all the huge ones tho. Belle did great with picking her own apples. She wasn't quit strong enough to pull them off but she tried. It was funny if she couldn't get one off the tree the first time she'd just pick up one off the ground and think it was good enough. We got our own bag and filled 'er full with all different kinds! When Belle was over walking on her own we got a classic Radio Flyer wagon for her to ride in. Then we went back out to finish filling our bag and get a good apple to eat in the orchard. Got to do that! As you can see she is not shy or picky with food! I did buy some lovely mums that hopefully I can plant and they'll come back next year. I also got some decorating pumpkins, pure honey, and of course some apple cedar at their store. Over all Belle looked like she had a blast. She feel asleep on the way home. We will definitely keep up this Fall tradition

15 Months

Annabelle is now 15 months old. She had her check up yesterday. She is growing well! Over all there really wasn't anything we needed to talk to the Dr. about. She has been having more of an attitude when it comes to her food, but the Dr. said that it is normal. We have started letting her completely feed herself which is helping so much. She did weigh in at 21 lbs. 6oz. with a height of 30.5 in. She did have to get shots too. She didn't like them so well. She has before calmed down after I picked her up but not this time! She was still whining the whole way out.

Belle did have a fun filled rest of the day! She loves to ride on the 4 wheeler with Blake. She'll go over and stand by it and moan. Blake didn't have time the other day to take her around so he made sure to make some yesterday. She just loves it! She'll sit back and rest against daddy and enjoy the wind in her hair! I think daddy gets as much of a kick out of it too! Then we went over and hung out with Kendall. She has the chicken pocks and Blake wanted Belle to be exposed to them now! Then we ended the night with an awesome bath! Belle loves to brush her teeth too. First thing in the morning she's always doing the sign to brush her teeth. When I went to the dentist last time they gave her her own little brush so I picked up some toothpaste and now she wants to do it every time we're in the bathroom. Then after bath time and all out teeth where brushed we read a good book and went night-night! She is such a good little girl. It's amazing how kids grow and learn new things so fast. I love being a mother! It really is the most rewarding thing to do! It helps when you have the best!!

Welcome Home Ben!

Yesterday we all welcomed home Ben! I was so excited to have him get home. Ben and I have gotten a lot closer since he's been gone. I'm really just happy to be able to have everyone home safe and alive. I think now of all the family's who's home comings aren't as sweet and am so thankful that God protected both of my brothers while they were gone. The weather was not the best. It sprinkled a little bit while we were waiting and it was definitely cloudy but not to cold so that's a plus! Ben got in at a little after 1pm. Annabelle was clapping and waving at the plane but when Ben got off and said "Hi" she wanted nothing to do with him! Give her some time and she'll warm right up. She reacted the same with Uncle Taylor and now she loves him! That night we all went to a friends party to celebrate Ben and Taylor's homecoming! I wish I had a picture of Taylor. He was in a recliner in the back of his truck parked up close to the action so he wasn't left out! Annabelle had fun dancing and socializing.
