Remembering Nana

It is hard to think how time can fly bye. It will be the second anniversary of my Nana's death this April 26. I can't believe it's been that long. It's hard to think that I haven't talked or hugged or even held her hand for almost two years. It's still so hard after that long! I still remember everything about her. The night she pasted, when she came to my bridal shower, the summers I stayed with her, all the shopping we did, the trips we would make to my great-grandma's house, and the times I'm sure I made her SO made at me. She was such a big part of me, of my life, of who I am today. I could call her and talk to her about everything and she would understand and still love me. She was just like a second mom to me. She loved Blake but still would let me know I was "to young to get married!". She was still so happy for us and did fully support us. I can only think of what she'd be saying to me now knowing I'm pregnant. She'd probably tell me "I'm making her feel really old and to stop!!" "She may not have been ready to be a GREAT-grandma yet?" But with giving me a hard time I know she would still be elated for me. It would probably be driving her nuts not knowing what I'm having. She would want to shop for it! "Never pay for anything full price, if you wait a week it will be on sale for a lot less!"

All I want to say to everyone is to let your loved ones know how much you love them every day because you never know how fast they may be taken from you. My Nana was taken so fast less then four weeks after I just saw her. She was an amazing woman. Beautiful, full of life, and not even knowing what was gong on. I planted this tree last year in memory of her. It has beautiful pink and white flowers that bloom in the spring. This year I wanted to adorn it like I remember my Nana. She was always decked out, the whole shebang! Earrings, necklace, rings, perfume, the perfect outfit with the perfect shoes. So in part the flower bed with the beautiful flowers are the necklace around the gorgeous face. I see it every time I pull into my house. Still beautiful, full of life, and it will always be growing with me and my family. I do know that she is still with me. Looking throw my eyes, in my smile, and in my big heart. She taught me a lot and I will carry that with me forever. I still miss her everyday and love her even more!

30 Weeks Kindof?

Well Tuesday was another doctor's appointment. I had a long list of things to talk to the Dr. about since last time I forgot everything. But first off the Dr. gets a phone call (that he stayed in the room with us on). And even worse its about money or investing. A little weird? But he measured my belly and I'm a little big. The babies heart beat was good and strong yet again. Blake and I have decided to donate our babies cord blood. I am hoping that in the future they will be able to find cures for some diseases with it instead of using stem cells. (That's a personal opinion. I don't agree with stem cell research.) I have been experiencing mild tightening of my stomach. I wanted to make sure that they were Brakstinhicks contractions and nothing to be worried about. He assured me that they are normal and until they start to hurt then I shouldn't worry. I also for the last week and a half have been feeling like I'm losing water. It feels like I'm peeing on myself. Not a lot but enough that I can notice it. He wanted to check with a sonogram if the liquid around the baby was good. So we got a sonogram!!! The nurse this time was SO much better. She had a great personality and was so friendly! We got to see the little face. He/She had its arms crossed in front of its face with its hands resting together by its cheeks. Blake ask for her to check to make sure it had some feet? Last time we weren't able to see them so better safe then sorry! He/She has two feet. They were crossed at the ankle so even she couldn't see what it is. The nurse knew someone had to be tall 'cus it has some long legs. She measured the belly area and all was good. She showed us its two kidneys, the stomach, the liver, and the four chambers of the heart. Everything liked great!! At the end she went up the spin and showed us the spine and ribs then moved to the head. She was like "oh my goodness!" I freaked! "What?" "Your baby has a HEAD OF HAIR!!!" You could see it floating in the liquid and all the fuzz on the screen. How funny is that? It's gunna come out looking like a long, hairy monkey!! So she said that my fluid is good. The baby is weighing in at about 3lbs. 12oz. and is measuring about a week ahead. Oh my God!! A whole WEEK!! No wonder I'm so ENORMOUSLY HUGE!! Well we'll be back in two more weeks to see how much more enormous I get?
