Go! Chiefs! Go!

Last night we all went to a Peoria Chiefs baseball game. The weather was calling for rain. I was worried all day about it, but the night was gorgeous! It was free hot dogs and peanuts until the seventh inning. We ate the hell out of them hot dogs! Belle was great at the game. She played with our empty souvenir cup. Kids like the dandiest things. And they were giving out little Caterpillar toys at the gate, so she played with that for a while. Of course the Chiefs didn't win but we went more for the experience anyways.

Memorial Remembrance!

Today Nana, Belle and mommy went to Springfield, Illinois at Camp Lincoln for a memorial. We were recognizing all the fallen National Guard soldiers of Illinois in this ceremony. A young man by the name of Allen Dilworth designed this memorial for his Eagle Scout Project. With many charitable donations he was able to bring his vision to life there at Camp Lincoln. Allen is the young kid laying the ceremonial wreath and getting his Eagle Scout pin. My mother's friend Anita reed a beautiful poem In Flanders Field by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae (1872-1918). They had many blue star families there to honor their fallen soldier in the memorial. If you don't know, a blue star family is a family of a blue star recipient. Normally a fallen or wounded soldier. In the ceremony they honored all 32 Gaurds men and women that were killed from 2003-present. There is a portable wall in honor of all the blue star soldiers of Illinois and it was there at the ceremony. I think it was a great thing to remember those who have gone before us and payed the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and the freedom of others! We should ALL thank a veteran if we ever see one!!! They are what this amazing country was built on!!

11 Months!

Can you believe that Belle is almost a year? The time is going by so fast but I'm enjoying every second of it! Yesterday we took a couple of family photo's in the yard. I have a wonderful, best friend Mellisa that came over and took a few candid photo's of us. There were so many pictures to go through. I had fun too playing or adjusting the photos. I'll post the best now and then when I have more time I'll post them all.
I want to let you all know that if you want any of the photo's for yourself please just let me know and I'd be more then happy to print them off and mail them to you. Or I can ever send them to your local Wal-mart to pick up for yourself. I'll just need your address or zip code. I've tried to print some pictures from the Internet and they turned out horrible. So don't try it. Just let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them to you!!!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub!

Daddy and Belle took her first bath in the big girls tub the other night. She liked it then didn't. I think she's just not sure about it. She loved them at grandpar' Parker's but then just recently started not wanting to much to do with them. Blake had a wash cloth to wash her face and to be funny he put it on her head. She looked like a nun. How funny! Blake also put these suction ducks on their for heads. To funny!

Daddy has something on his head too!
