Big Girl Hair!

Belle's hair has gotten so long and out of control. The next time I go to get my hair cut I plane on getting her's cut too. It's really curly in the back but has long straight strands on top. So I hope Tiff can even everything out and make her more adorable. If possible! So lately I've been playing with her hair. I picked up some hair barrettes in towm so now I can put up her hair. She looks so much different with her hair up. We'll probably get our hair cut in the next two weeks so I'll post our new dues.

Happy Halloween!

I know today is actual Halloween but Glasford held there annual parade and trick or treat last night. It worked out great for me 'cuz I was able to take Annabelle trick or treating. Blake was able to go in a little late to work, so he was able to do the parade with us and hit up the church's trunk or treat. Belle was a little Indian. We had the boots that I think made the costume (thanks to Carson for those!). We tried to paint her face but it didn't really stay on to good. She kept wiping it off on Nana's jacket. Sorry mom! Everyone came to the parade. Cousin Josie and Ogdan were a chef and a lobster! They won first prize at the parade. Josie was the chef cookin' up her little brother who was a lobster in a pot! Jenny did a great job putting together the stove. Carson was a fairy! All the kids seemed to have a great time. We trick or treated our parents block. It was a total of 8 house and that's including two of them being grandparents. She did great! She caught on fast. At the first house we showed her how to knock on the door and say trick or treat. Most people would let her pick out what she wanted. She would pick something then put it in her bag, then want one more thing, then when that was all we moved to the next house. She always said Thank You in sign language like a good girl. But after the second house, she'd get her two peices of candies then be off to the next house! It was like she was a seasoned pro! She made mommy vary proud of her! She was a great girl all night. She listened to mommy well and did just as she was told! After trick or treating we headed over to Uncle Brent's house for his big birthday bash! He turned the big 3-0! They had a bonfire with Grandpa's chili, chips, hot chocolate, and a great cake! Jenny made an awesome cake in the shape of a cooler! The night over all was vary successful! We did miss dadda! A LOT!! We always do at time like this! But Belle did a great job at getting him a lot of Reese's cups!

Pumpkin Carving!

Blake love to carve pumpkins! I'm not sure why he loves it so much but he does. So we got a few good carving pumpkins the other week and thought that it was best to do them last night. They'll make it though Halloween. We went out and bought this carving set and all! Blake tried to have Belle help with cleaning out the pumpkin and you can see that didn't go so well. So he tried to force her the second time and she freaked! She did find the seeds pretty interesting! She had her own little tool to help. In one of the photo's you can see Blake cutting the top off and she's there trying to help. So precious! When we went inside to carve them she didn't want to sit in her set so she stood (WITH SUPERVISION!) next to me and helped carve her pumpkin. She wanted a ghost! It turned out awesome! Mommy did a silly face and daddy got stuck with an owl perched on a tree, something a little more difficult but it turned out great!! Like last year Belle picked the best and I think it's a conspiracy 'cuz she picked daddies again! But they all tried out great and we couldn't be happier!

Big Girl Panties!

I have started to introduce Belle to the big girl potty! She is taking to it great. I started by putting her on it right after she woke up and before bed or nap time. Then the other day we went half naked in the morning to see if or when she need to go potty. She never went once. It was then nap time so we did the potty and went in to go down. I put a diaper on her and put her down from the changing table then would you not believe she squatted and I could hear her peeing! NO WAY CHILD!! So I decided to try big girl panties, to see if something was on her she'll feel more like going. We would periodically go to the potty and read our book but no pee-pee. But the other night she got up holding herself so I said "Potty?" She got excited and ran to the potty. And PEE ED!! Not a minute later she did the same but she said potty. We ran in there and she AGAIN went pee-pee on the big girl potty! I thought it was a fluke. But the next morning after breakfast she did it again twice in a row! She has had a few accidents. She'll hold herself and I know that it's either 'cuz she has to go or she already did. But I'm really in no hurry. I just wanted to start early and get her used to it. So when we really buckle down she'll be used to it. But you never know she could be potty trained before baby #2.! Wouldn't that be nice! I also have been cleaning out Belle's closet, putting away clothes that don't fit her anymore. So I have to get into the closet that's holding all the baby furniture. She crawling right up into her old bouncer and thought it was the greatest thing. It's amazing how big they can get in one year!
