Vacation... Great-Grandparents

The whole point of our family vacation was to go and see my grandparents down in Columbia, South Carolina. It was a wonderful time. I enjoyed myself more then I expected! I was able to get to know my grand parents more and hear great stories from my grandpa. They have a dog named Baba that both of the girls loved! Belle annoyed us with her "princess songs"! And Whit was a doll. We would go for nightly walks to burn some energy off and see the neighborhood. I hope you enjoy the photo's! Some are of how the girls get along with each other.

Vacation... The Water Park!

The next day we left Whitney with Grandpa and Granny and Blake and I took Belle to a water park. Fort Jackson has a really nice one on base! She LOVED it! That was the first time she's ever been to a water park. The kiddie pool was awesome, even for Blake and I! It was a foot deep. Which was ideal for Belle. She loved to jump up and splash down into the water. There for a while I thought she was going to brake her butt, but it's still there! LOL The water park was really well put together there was another larger pool that went from 1 ft to 4ft, then on the end it turned into a 5 ft lap pool! The lazy river was around that pool. It wasn't long but that was perfect 'cuz Belle didn't care to much for it. It did have some big adult slides that Blake tried out! I think he enjoyed them he went a few times! We wanted to sent Belle on a slip that was a little bigger then the "frog" but she was like 2 inches to short so they didn't let her! That was a bummer 'cuz she kept asking to go! Over all it was a great day in the sun! We did end it with a great big lunch at Fudruckers!! Yummmyyyy!

Vacation... The ZOO!

We had a wonderful vacation. On our first day there we decided to go to their local zoo. It was great! Well put together and so many animals. We of all things forgot our stroller so we had to rent one. We were able to split it with another couple so we were only out $5 instead of $15! There were so many things to see at the zoo. The weather was nice at first. Then it got prity bad by the end. Luckily for us we saved the air conditioned exhibits for last. We saw elephants, koala's, Belle's favorite monkey, farm animals, giraffes, and loin. Belle and I got to see the tigers but Blake missed them. They had a huge fish tank and while we were in there they had a diver in the tank feeding the fish. Belle found that really interesting. It was a fun day for the whole family! FYI: I forgot my really nice camera (if my head wasn't attached I'd probably forget that to!) but the goodness for modern technology. I used my new iPhone and it took awesome photo's!

Solids!

Whitney is now a big girl. She has started solid foods. We did it while on vacation. She loved it! She would open her mouth big and wide and lean forward. What a porker!! LOL She'll fit in great with our family, we all love to eat! Belle too loves her cereal. It's really the first thing she says in the morning to me. "Mommy want some cereal?" She's starting to drink the milk before she's done. Why... I don't know! But it sure does make a nice mess!
