Ice Cream Cake!!

I love to make cakes and I have to say that this one might be my proudest one! Belle's theme for her birthday is ice cream, so in lou with that I made an ice cream cone cake. As you can see it is a three tiered ice cream cone. The flavors are cookies and cream (my pick), then strawberry (Blake's pick), then vanilla with sprinkle 'cuz what kid doesn't like sprinkles! I did have to make two but that's a long story, so over all the cake turned out awesome and Belle loved it. More photo's of that experience to follow! And the shoe box was how I stored it.

Sick Whitney

On Wednesday night Whitney just did not want to go to sleep. I was not a happy camper!! I had to call Blake at work 'cuz I was so upset. She just would not go to bed and she was mad. At around 6 she started to feel hot to me. I gave her some medicine when we woke up and I realized that she was more hot like she was sick. I keep giving it to her and the temperature would go down but rev back up at the end of four hours. Thank God that my mother-in-law came over because I had so much to get ready for Belle's birthday party and having a sick 5 month old and a 2 year old it's next to impossible to get anything done. That fever never went away so we went to the doctor. It had almost been 24 hours. But of course I take her in and she's all great. No fever, nothing! Just a little runny nose and that's it. She was great and never had a problem since. But it make for a vary memorable anniversary! Blake and mine 4th!!!

Swing Set!

Blake and I decided since we have this great big yard that we would buy a big wooden swing set. I wanted one that had a club house and Blake just wanted three swings. I was able to find this one at Toys R Us on sale and I had a special coupon for an additional $200 off. So we were able to get it for $649.49!! I was thrilled! It took us a while to put it together. Meanly because Blake has been working a lot of over time and having one day off a week he didn't really feel like having all his time go to putting it together. Over all it did go up prity quickly and we are still happily married. We actually worked really well together on this! May be 'cuz it was for the kids?!! LOL When we got finished I went and got Belle (who had just gotten up from a nap). Blake joked "Watch her want nothing to do with it!!" Totally the opposite! She LOVES it, and that may be an understatement! She went and tried out everything. It all worked out perfect, we had great weather for her birthday party and all the kids loved it!

The Cabin!

A few weeks ago Terry and Debbie officially broke ground on the new cabin. We are all excited to have a great place to go to in the summer that we aren't sharing with God's little creators. This last weekend we all went down for the first time this season. Blake and Bryant helped Terry get ready to pour the footing. The thing was a muddy mess and hot!! Belle did great. They have a huge whole she could easily fall in but she didn't, she came close only once. Belle and Grandma went fishing in the pond. Grandma caught three little fish. They have a patall boat that was full of water and Debbie would put the fish in and let Belle see them. She didn't touch and she'll let you know that too. Whitney was great as always. She took a long nap in the trailer. I had to wake her up to feed her. I think she'd have slept longer because it was so warm and she was nice and comfy in front of a fan.

Clean, Clean, Clean!

As you all may now but a mothers job is never done. Cleaning is never ending!! But now I have a helper, Belle! She loves to clean. She's started to pull out my broom and try to sweep. Most of the time she just almost hits you in the head with it. That's way I asked my parents to get her her own children's cleaning kit. But on this particular day I was doing the dishes and she wanted to put on my gloves and "Clean Mommy". So I gave her the gloves and a paper towel. She went right to her kitchenette and started to wipe everything down. She even got the window. Now if I can only get her to actually clean up her messes that would be great!

Aunt Peggy!!!

I was thoroughly surprised on Thursday when some strange car with Bevo's pulled into my drive!! To my surprise it was Aunt Peggy!! She was in Indianapolis for work and thought to come home for a little RNR! Blake and Bevo were the only two that knew! We've been having a great time with her while she is here. Last night we had her over for some dinner and then Blake and I decided to go see a movie. Peggy watched the girls. Granite is was right at bed time and Debbie came to help but they are still a lot! Thanks sooo much Peggy for watching them and we love you!!

4 Months

Whitney is our little precious bundle of joy! She has the most incredible laugh and smile you've ever seen. We had her 4 month check-up the other day. Belle went with me and was great. She went pee-pee on the potty and listened when I needed her. She is a wonderful big sister! But Whitney is doing great! Growing wonderfully!

We are still having a few problems with her tear ducks not wanting to open up completely. They still get gunky in the morning. I've started to wash them out more ofter though out the day and they've seemed to be improving. She had a round of shots this time. Belle sat up their and held her hand. When Whitney started to cry Belle "Shh" her. It was precious! We all go back in two months for both of theirs check up. Belle's 2 year and Whitney's 6 months!!! It's just not right!!
