Under Construction!

Blake and I had decided to put in a dishwasher and redo the floor in out kitchen. So Monday it began. I got called off from work so we went and picked up all the things. I was stoked to see the dishwasher we wanted was on clearance. Even better! When we got home we got started. We started with the dishwasher first. We had to take out a cabinet, move one down, and put the dishwasher in. Sounds easy enough right? NO OF COURSE NOT!! The previous owners had put down new flooring too. What they did was just put down the floor and put a new toe board around the cabinets to cover gaps. So we had to tear up not only one but two toe boards and some of the floor to just get the cabinet out. We should have known that this was going to be harder then we thought. We both had Tuesday off so we were going to hit it hard the next day. We started with the floor. They had put down what I had thought were peel and stick tiles. Well they weren't! They had glues them down hard core to the previous tiles so we had to get scrapers out and try to peel them up. But of course the bottom tiles started coming up too! So that left us with some holes in the floor. We were able to fix them with the old tiles. One problem fix! Then when we peeled up the tiles the floor was SO incredibly sticky! We had to put down the foam padding for under the laminate floor in sections just to move on. We layed them in their three feet wide sections. Another problem fix! But by this time Blake and I are fighting! He did not understand what I meant about laying the foam down. So I was being a bossy bitch and he was just being a stupid mean prik!!! We didn't talk for a while to each other.
Terry was able to come over and look at the dishwasher for us. It was a little to much for Blake to do on his own. Well of course there were more parts we needed for it so he's going to pick them up for us. My dad was able to also come over and help us start the flooring. I love the way it looks. We were able to finish the floor at 1:45am and not kill each other! The floor came out great! I love it!! Now my house is another story. I thought we didn't have that much in our kitchen but our dining room still looks like a tornado went through it.

Annabelle has been a little grumpy butt lately! She'll just wines the whole day. She wants you to be interacting with and held all the time and we just don't have time to do that. The other night I found a way to keep her preoccupied. Let her watch TV!! I know it sound funny but she will sit in front of the TV and watch it quietly. Last night she watched Jay Leno and Unwrapped. Some comedy and a little educational! LOL This morning she watched the classic Tom and Jerry Show for the first time with daddy. It's funny to hear her laugh at it. I know she doesn't know what it means but she thinks something is funny!!
