Blake and I were trying really hard to have a great garden this year. We have tried before and it never would grow or animals would eat everything. So this year we were out there like crazy watering and weeding. We even went so far as to put a good fence up to keep the hairy varmints out. The garden was looking really good. It looked like we were going to have some corn for the first time in our many years of trying. The green beans are coming out of our ears and the cherry tomatoes we'll be eating for months. But yesterday morning Blake went out to water the garden to find that something had demolished the corn. The little varmint took the corn and enjoyed it under the nice shade of our tomato plants. All of the corn was eaten!! We was so made!! They knocked over a few tomato plants trying to get in. So unfortunately we took down the fence and mowed over the corn. We don't want any reminders that we would have had corn. But at least everything else is good. I've already picked over a dozen cucumbers and two five gallon buckets of green beans. We have one big boy tomato starting to turn and a gazillion tomato's where take one came from. But you better bet that next year we're putting up an electric fence through the night!! They'll learn you don't mess with the Parker's garden or!!

We had an electric fence up last year and sorry to say, it still won't stop those pesky raccoons.
